Now that you’re engaged, its time to start PLANNING (after you’ve come back to earth from Cloud 9)! At the top of your to do list is probably choosing and booking your vendors and venue. Even if you have a pretty good vision of what you want your wedding day to look like, there are important logistical considerations to take into account that you might have never thought of. As a wedding photographer with more than ten years and 100+ weddings worth of experience, I’m giving you my 4 Most Important Venue Considerations when shopping for your wedding location!
Hailey is a senior! One of my favorite things about this session was that Hailey brought her best friend along, and she was the best hype girl! These two were adorable, funny, and just so much fun to hang out with. Trust me, I will totally be your hype woman during your session, fixing your hair when needed and cheering you on as I get super excited about the gorgeous shots we’re getting… but there is just something about experiencing this exciting milestone with your best friend.
Heather and Andrew’s wedding was everything! It was gorgeous, relaxed, sweet, filled with love and beautiful emotion, with family at the center. The (now official!) Broussard family traveled from Nebraska to get married at Bold North Cellars, which was originally part of family farmland, so besides being a stunning venue, it was an especially meaningful place to them.
What a fun late summer evening at Lake Carlos State Park! I loved meeting this sweet guy and his adorable, very enthusiastic 2 year old Golden Retriever! Aside from being such a cutie, Mason is also is an avid hunter and hockey player with a bright and exciting future ahead!
So, you’ve booked your wedding photographer and it’s time for your engagement session…how exciting! But now what?
What a FUN evening with Grace! I had the honor of photographing her brother Gabe’s senior session last year and the Evink Family is so incredibly sweet; it’s just a joy to be with them. Grace is so chill, she had the most adorable outfits and was up for anything, AND we got to include […]
I have been in the wedding industry for over 10 years, and between internships and my own business, have photographed well over 100 weddings. So, I’ve seen a thing or two and learned a thing or two. Below are five tips that I frequently give my couples to ensure their whole wedding day (not just the photography aspect) runs smoothly!
Summer storms threatened to derail Kelly’s senior session, but we went for it and the weather dodged us just perfectly! This handsome guy is quite the athlete, and we fit in THREE different sports for these photos! Starting at the AAHS field, we grabbed some football and track shots, then stopped by the wrestling gym […]
This lovely lady and I had a great evening taking her senior photos around Alexandria! Starting at Lake Brophy County Park, then moving to historic downtown, and finishing up at the AAHS track, we had beautiful weather and surprisingly every spot pretty much all to ourselves! Elena is not only beautiful, but also a rock […]
Fighting summer weather, rescheduling for storms and then again for fog, we finally ended up with a beautiful Minnesota summer day for Heather and Andrew’s two-part engagement session!
