What a gorgeous styled shoot! We had Kynze and Alex as perfect models, questionable weather that worked out perfectly in our favor, and the stunning backdrop of northern Minnesota. For those who are new to the term, styled sessions are collaborative events that provide an opportunity for wedding photographers and other vendors to create and connect.

They usually involve staging a highly curated and stylized wedding or event, to which a small number of photographers are invited. This provides photographers with new portfolio and social media content, while collaborating with other local vendors such as florists, bakeries, hair and make up artists, etc gives them new images showcasing their work. It’s the perfect “low pressure” environment to stretch creatively and try new things without having to worry about getting (or missing!) the important moments or details of someone’s actual big day!

But above all, these styled shoots are the best opportunity to connect and build community. Meeting and working with others in the wedding industry creates the networking and support that is so important in the small business space! It was a joy to be a part of this one in the Duluth/North Shore area and I’m thankful for everyone that worked hard to bring it to life!
