Carter + Delaney / Staples, MN Wedding

This was, hands down, one of the sweetest weddings I have had the honor of photographing. Delaney and Carter are absolutely adorable together, and their families are so beautifully kind and loving. Wedding day emotions always get me, but after photographing close to 100 weddings, I have learned how to keep it together. But, this day brought me to tears MULTIPLE times. Keep scrolling to see why.

Carter was such a precious groom. When I went to get him for the First Look, I asked, “Are you ready to see your bride?” and he actually yelled, “YES PLEASE!”. He was so incredibly, genuinely, deeply excited to see Delaney. And the tears, oh the sweet tears. Some of the first words he said after seeing her was “I get to marry a princess!”. He could not take his eyes off his beautiful bride and their love for one another was so obvious throughout the day.

These two families shared so many special moments during the reception. Delaney and her dad’s dance had me crying so hard it was actually a struggle to photograph! Her sweet dad kept it together during their father/daughter First Look, as he had a bet with his sons that he wouldn’t cry. But for their dance…all bets were off. He cried, she cried, we all cried. She then followed that by dancing with each of her brothers, who also lost it. So many sweet moments. Carter and his mom had the most adorable first dance, where they sang their hearts out together. Finally, the Anniversary Dance honored Carter’s grandparents in the most special way. His grandma couldn’t be there due to health reasons, but his grandpa danced with each granddaughter for the Anniversary Dance, until he was the last one left on the dance floor and they recognized what was clearly a long and inspirational marriage. Not a dry eye in the house.

All in all, this day was such a beautiful testament to faith, love, and family, and it was a true honor to be a part of it. Thank you and congratulations to Delaney and Carter, and to the Larson and Houck families!

Delaney and her bridesmaids shared a beautiful moment of prayer prior the ceremony.
Carter had already seen his bride for their First Look, but his emotions seeing her again coming down the aisle…so SWEET!
