Linsey and Thomas are engaged! I met this fun couple for their engagement session on a hot but beautiful summer day at Lake Carlos State Park. I loved getting to know them and hear about their story as we walked and photographed our way through the park!

Linsey is from Minnesota; she grew up right down the road from the park actually! Thomas is from California, and the crazy thing is, we discovered he’s actually from the same small town where my aunt and uncle lived for years! Graduated from the same high school as my cousins! Small world!

Lake Carlos State Park is one of my favorite places to photograph (be sure to check out the engagement gallery to see other sessions at this gorgeous park!) However, we picked this location in particular due to Thomas’ background in state and national parks AND because this is where he proposed to Linsey! So this is a particularly special place for them!

These two are getting married next spring and I can’t wait to photograph this wedding! They are so sweet and so much fun. They warned me they were awkward for photos but that could NOT have been further from the truth!
