Our first attempt at Ryland’s senior session was rained out, but on our second try we ended up with an absolutely perfect summer evening! Carlos State Park is one of my favorite places for photos and we had abundant sunshine, comfortable temps, and no bugs (a very rare combination in Minnesota!). I really enjoyed walking […]
I was beyond honored when Abbey asked me to be her wedding photographer! To say this girl is awesome is such an understatement. Her humor, wit, kindness, and humanity is just the best, and everyone who meets her loves her. So when she and Sean got engaged, I knew he must be equally as cool.
Oh what a happy post! Shannon has been one of my best friends for over 20 (twenty?!) years. We have seen each other through all kinds of seasons of life. And this is one of her best. She is truly glowing with love, peace, and fulfillment. It has been an honor to witness, and I […]
Oh, January. Holiday decorations are put away, the house is clean, the hustle of the holidays settles back to a more normal pace….it allows for time to take a breath and reflect on the past year, and space to become re-invigorated for the upcoming year. Slowing down and looking back at the previous season always helps me to feel inspired and motivated for what could be for this year! Upon this reflection, I am always in awe at what amazing people I get to meet and work with. I am so very grateful for my 2022 clients.
I have officially run out of Fernholz seniors to photograph! I’ve had the honor of watching these awesome kids grow up over the last ten years, and photographed both of Gavryn’s older sisters, Tatum and Riley, when they were seniors. And now its Gav’s turn! This kid has grown up to be seriously SO cute […]
Cold, misty rain and wind threatened Paige and Tanner’s big day in late September…but they decided to take the risk and continue with the plan for an outdoor ceremony at Thumper Pond Resort. Thank goodness they did, as it turned out to be lovely! We even had sneaks of sun during the ceremony, which was just beautiful.
Now that you’re engaged, its time to start PLANNING (after you’ve come back to earth from Cloud 9)! At the top of your to do list is probably choosing and booking your vendors and venue. Even if you have a pretty good vision of what you want your wedding day to look like, there are important logistical considerations to take into account that you might have never thought of. As a wedding photographer with more than ten years and 100+ weddings worth of experience, I’m giving you my 4 Most Important Venue Considerations when shopping for your wedding location!
Hailey is a senior! One of my favorite things about this session was that Hailey brought her best friend along, and she was the best hype girl! These two were adorable, funny, and just so much fun to hang out with. Trust me, I will totally be your hype woman during your session, fixing your hair when needed and cheering you on as I get super excited about the gorgeous shots we’re getting… but there is just something about experiencing this exciting milestone with your best friend.
Heather and Andrew’s wedding was everything! It was gorgeous, relaxed, sweet, filled with love and beautiful emotion, with family at the center. The (now official!) Broussard family traveled from Nebraska to get married at Bold North Cellars, which was originally part of family farmland, so besides being a stunning venue, it was an especially meaningful place to them.
What a fun late summer evening at Lake Carlos State Park! I loved meeting this sweet guy and his adorable, very enthusiastic 2 year old Golden Retriever! Aside from being such a cutie, Mason is also is an avid hunter and hockey player with a bright and exciting future ahead!
